Meet The Employee Resource Groups


Veterans Network

The NBCUniversal Veterans Network was first established in July 2010, launching with employee-based chapters in both New York and Los Angeles. The company-wide affinity group was modeled after the successful veteran’s organization that was previously created at Universal Studios Orlando, an NBCUniversal joint venture. Currently, the Veterans Network has more than 600 members nationally, 200-plus members from within NBCUniversal and 450-plus members at Universal Studios Orlando.


The NBCUniversal Veterans Network mission statement is to foster a business culture that recognizes, supports, develops and promotes the unique characteristics of veterans and active military throughout NBCUniversal.

On the Case with NBCUniversal/Telemundo’s Michelle Alban

Alban is the vice president of corporate communications and public
affairs for Telemundo Media and serves as the director of primary
research for Telemundo Network. She manages partnerships with Hispanic
organizations in Washington, D.C., and other key markets. Prior to this,

Hiring Our Heroes:  NBC News & NBCUniversal Veterans Network’s Val Nicholas Speaks About the Job Initiative

March of 2011, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched Hiring Our Heroes,
a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find
meaningful employment.   Through the NBCUniversal Veterans Network,
awareness of this important and imperative job initiative was raised
throughout the company.  As a result, NBC News joined Hiring Our Heroes
and aims to help get the nation’s veterans back into the workforce.
